Some Really Sad Stuff Jacque Maribe, the Kellywood celebrity journalist has been caught up in something that none of her fans or anybody else in Kellywood for that matter would have thought possible.
Some Back Story Just a few months ago, Jacque and her boyfriend, who is now her fiance, Joseph Irungu were trending because of their relationship and engagement.
The engagement saw Irungu invite Maribe's friends, the same ones here on the yacht with her, to a surprise engagement proposal with roses and all.
Before that, Maribe had a very public relationship with Dennis Itumbi, with lots of public display of affection, kissing and all.
And before that it was Eric Omondi and Maribe who were dating and whose relationship was the talk of Kellywood.
It is alleged that they got a child together from this relationship, a son, but none of them has publicly accepted this.
Moving On Jacque has since moved on from Eric and Dennis and it was while dating Joseph Irungu a.k.a. Jowie that things took a turn for the worse.
Jacque Maribe and her fiance Joseph Irungu are the main suspects in a murder most foul of a lady by the name of Monica Kimani.
Unrequited Love It is alleged that Irungu used to date Monica Kimani before his relationship with Maribe and that Monica and ended the relationship but Irungu wanted to continue with it.
The Fateful Day Monica Kimani had just arrived, on the 19th September 2018, from South Sudan where she was a businesswoman and had been dropped off by a taxi at her apartment at 1930hrs.
Irungu and some of Monica's neighbours were at her apartment that night visiting with her.
The neighbours left Jowie and Monica alone and street cameras later on picked Jowie in a car with an unidentified male companion.
The car that they were driving was later on identified as Jacque Maribe's Silver Toyota Allion KCA 031E.
The Discovery Made The following day, that is on the 20th September 2018 Monica Kimani was found dead in a bathtub, her neck having been slit, at her Lamuria Gardens Apartment, Kilimani.
Her body was found by her brother George Kimani when he went to check on her after not being able to reach her on the phone all night, the night of 19th September.
Apparently, Jackie read the one o'clock news bulletin on 20th September about Monica's murder on Citizen television.
Arrests Made Both Jacque and Jowie were arrested and they spent some time in prison. Jacque was later released on a Ksh 1 million bail but Jowie remains in custody on account of the possibility of him fleeing the country.
The case is still going on at the law courts under Justice James Wakiaga.
Aftermath This turn of events have changed the course of Jacque Maribe's career for good and we do not know if she will maintain her celebrity status in Kellywood as it was before.
