The Kalasha Awards, that has now been dubbed "The Kellywood Oscars," went down at the Safari Park Hotel and Casino in Kellywood. And the Award Goes to... Brenda Wairimu was one of the big winners and she is seen here with a smug face as she poses with the "Best Lead Actress In A Film" award that she won. She was nominated for her role in the film "Subira" in the same category as Avril Nyambura who was nominated for her role in "World Tofauti." Brenda carried the day and is seated on a replica statue of the Kalasha Award soaking in the moment! Acceptance Speech Brenda wants to say to her fans that this award means more to her than they can ever possibly believe! She says, "Asanteni sana!". She has been dressed by AMZ's Closet, who have provided her dress and shoes. Wambui Thimba provided her bag, the white clutch that she has placed on the base of the statue. Johnson Chege was one of the big winners and he won the "Best Lead Actor in a Film" for his role in the movie "Supa Modo." Pascal Tokodi was the other big winner and he won and the "Best Supporting Actor in a Film" award for his role in the movie "Disconnect." Power Couple Others in attendance were last years winner Martin Githinji, who was accompanied to the event by his lovely and dashing wife Kokueendera Lwanga. The Small Screen "Selina" won the Best Tv Drama award as it pitted one of its stars Celestine Gachuhi, to battle it out for the "Best Lead Actress in a Tv Drama" with other actresses. The award went to Diana Mulwa, who acted as Tonie in "My Two Wives." The "Best Lead Actor in a Tv Drama" award for 2018 went to Eddy Peter who stars as "Gilbert" on the television series "My Two Wives."
